About the artist

I make art in various forms, from sculptural to the flat surface, always somewhat spatial. Layering is created by stacking and bulging, the use of transparent and voluminous materials. The image, the form that one sees from a distance, takes on an added meaning when viewed up close. My material is mainly textile and paper.

Texts are a source of inspiration for me during the creation process. I like to comment on news items, history or emancipation issues. By using different typography, from block letters to my own handwriting, this provides both an informative and an aesthetic layer (quality).

I am mainly self-taught, partly because I have lived abroad for a long time, but also because I like to find my own way.
